Abstract
The aim of this study is to shed light on the hydrogeochemical characteristics of karst underground waters in Zhaidi vallage, Lingchuan County, Guilin City with an emphasis on the geochemistry of major elements. The results showed that Ca2+ and Mg2+ were the dominant cations, and HCO3- and SO2- were the dominant anions. Dissolution-weathering of limestones and dolostones was probably the most important factor controlling and having a definite influence on the hydrogeochemistry of underground waters. Seasonal variation and correlations of different water elements were different.
