Abstract
A co-ordination scheme can be described by decision competence and communication rules, that are assigned to the units of a manufacturing net. In the paper, key characteristics to describe networks are introduced and several types of network organisations (co-ordination schemes) are described. The paper presents an approach to find an adequate co-ordination scheme for an existing physical network. The method bases on the analysis of the interdependencies of control decisions in the network.
