  • Abstract
In recent 30 years, the ecological environment of streams suffers severe damage in Xintang town. Stream regulation is very important and urgent. Based on nature characteristic and existent problems, the paper uses data of water quality which were obtained in Oct., 2005, also remote sensing data from Google earth, and landform data from field measure to Study on urban stream regulation methods of Xintang town, which is based on ecological idea. According to main functions of streams, these streams can be divided into three classes. The paper puts out three main engineering methods, which are Environment- friendly dredging, Construction of ecological embankment, Ecological restore engineering (ERE). Environment-friendly dredging can divided four key processes, small dredger, mesh separation system, flocculation condense system and dehydrating system. Dehydrating system is the key to further dispose, and sixty percent of water content is the beginning for landfill and compost. According to the practical situation of these streams, four class ecological sections can be used in construction of ecological embankment. Five ERE methods are put out in the paper. ERE of city river is designed with a variety of natural landscape and purification system coexisting.
