Abstract
The rough set theory has been developed for deriving the features from various coarse data, for example, the name of a disease has been diagnosed by a rough set of symptoms. In this paper the rough set theory was applied to the discharge currents accompanied by tree development. We calculated the original current data at some time points to make a set of condition attributes; and the rough set theory was applied to the attribute set to predict its future time series. It was shown that the time series current data used in this paper could be forecast, though some decision rules were inconsistent at a few time points
