Abstract
Over the last decade, mobile ad hoc networks have emerged as a promising solution for providing ubiquitous communications to support various multimedia applications. Supporting video over infrastructureless mobile ad hoc networks is more challenging than over other networks due to the absence of fixed infrastructure and rapid changes in network topology. In this paper, we study the feasibility of video streaming from several nodes to a single node to improve the video quality. Besides, we use multiple description coding (MDC) scheme to avoid workload redundancy. We show that this concept significantly improves the video quality by reducing the occurrence of interruptions
