Abstract
The algorithm presented by Manhire and Jenkins (1982) for probabilistically simulating the operation of power systems which includes multiple assigned-energy units has been extended by the authors. Such assigned-energy units are conventional hydroelectric power plants and, under certain circumstances, nuclear units or conventional thermal units with limited fuel supply or with limits on emissions due to environmental considerations
