Abstract :
This paper presents two methods of crosstalk reduction in telecommunication cables composed of multiple conductors. Initially, an electromagnetic and topologic code is implemented to simulate the multi conductor transmission line when configuring the line following each method. Then, the far end crosstalk voltage is determined. To picture those results, the crosstalk results obtained by simulation are used for simulating the noise level on ADSL and VDSL channels. We can therefore establish the system performances improvement in terms of reach and bit rate. With both methods, it appears that is possible to decrease crosstalk on the line, and consequently to increase the performances of xDSL transmissions.
