  • Abstract
This work presents and compares alternative methods for undervoltage emergency protection. The methods considered include LTC tap adjustments (blocking, locking, reversing), distribution side voltage setpoint reduction, and finally load shedding. The paper also considers how some of the above methods can be combined in designing an emergency control scheme. The techniques are demonstrated in a small power system with three loads with promising results.
