Comparison of contemporary adaptive control design techniques
Abstract :
A benchmark design problem is formulated and used as a common test bed for the evaluation of specific adaptive controller design techniques. The baseline problem is a common system that is frequently encountered in aerospace applications. A classical proportional-integral-derivative controller is designed and used as a metric for judging the adaptive controllers. The controllers are compared in terms of performance capabilities, operating robustness, and design complexity
