Abstract
The authors propose a new set of procedures that integrates primary energy uncertainties and energy operating policies with probabilistic load flow. The reservoir operational strategies are then considered in the assessment of adequacy indices. The proposed methodology is applied to two examples related with the Brazilian power network. Comparisons are made between this approach and the deterministic strategy. Topics requiring further developments are also mentioned
