  • Abstract
    This paper presents a discussion of the realities and tradeoffs involved in designing a low-power system in today´s high-volume mobile computer market. The IBM ThinkPad 701 subnotebook computer is presented as an example of such a system which has experienced many design decisions based on these tradeoffs
