Abstract :
Although the model of engineering education based on industry/university collaboration is regarded as an effective way to foster innovative talents, there are still many difficulties in the implementation of mass computer engineering education for undergraduates because of limited educational resources. Taking the example of the theories and practice of the Mainframe Education Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), this paper attempts to discuss the necessity, actuality and operability of the model of industry/university collaboration engineering education, suggesting that nowadays it is an effective way to conduct engineering education towards undergraduates by means of making full use of enterprises´ resources.
