Abstract
This paper discusses the use of geothermal energy in restructured power systems. The paper defines the resources as well as the ways in which geothermal energy is converted into electricity. The paper also reviews a few geothermal projects in the United States and some other parts of world. Finally a comparative review of renewable energy sources is presented and conclusions are outlined
