Abstract :
The proposed scheduling scheme minimises the mean power consumption of real-time tasks with probabilistic computation amounts on multicore processors. To reduce leakage power consumption of idle cores, the scheme activates a part of available cores while turning off the power of unused cores, and determines the instant speed of activated cores so that the expected power consumption of real-time tasks would be minimised.
