Abstract :
A brief discussion of a recently developed theory of fluorescent lamp circuits is presented, with the emphasis on some details of a circuit-theoretical and mathematical nature. It is noted that the strong nonlinearity of the characteristics of a circuit element may be directly used to develop a theory of first approximations, and some further corrections may be easily done to extend the theory of first approximations to the cases of slightly different characteristics. It is also noted that the power sensitivity is an important system parameter and its analysis may be very fruitful in a nonlinear situation
