Abstract :
The development of the DCS1800 standard will allow the introduction of a personal communication networks with attributes giving mass market appeal. This is achieved by offering enhanced second generation system capability. Due consideration of all issues affecting evolution should enable third generation personal communications to gain the greatest possible benefits from GSM and DCS1800 systems
