Abstract :
Waterjet propulsion system for underwater vehicle is presented based on fully known of solid fuel turbine and high-speed axial-flow pump. At the design condition, the equilibrium relation of kinematics and dynamics among vehicle, axial-flow pump and engine are researched; at the fixed-depth condition, the velocity of underwater vehicle would change by altering nozzle number; and the depth and speed characteristic is also analyzed at different nozzle number. The research result indicates waterjet propulsion system can achieve the characteristic goal of high-speed and large-depth, and it provides an important reference to waterjet propulsion underwater vehicle.
