Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. We investigate the influence of the Penning effects on the electrical discharge properties in a mixed gas in connection with applications to the plasma display panel, where the pressure is almost one atmosphere. A theoretical model of the breakdown voltage in a mixed gas is developed, based on the Townsend criteria.
