Abstract :
The effectiveness of linear prediction residual (LPC-Residue) to the verification of voiceprints and the recognition of Chinese tones was evaluated in this paper. LPC-Residue was used to represent the speaker´s characteristic information. Firstly, the experiment was conducted to research the effectiveness of residual signal on human voiceprint. As seen from the results, the speech residual signal contains much speaker´s voiceprint information. Then, the residual signal of different tones and LPC were exchanged to produce a synthesized speech. The results indicated that the residual signal could be used as a main source in the identification of the tone. As proven in this paper, the residual signal has a significant effectiveness in the verification of voiceprints and the recognition of Chinese tones.
