Abstract :
3-Dimensional hepatocyte aggregates experience simulated microgravity in a Rotary Cell Culture System (RCCS). Pharmacokinetic rate and urea secretion are up-regulated in model microgravity. This work has application to space life sciences and clinical dosing requirements for long term manned space exploration.
