Abstract
Since reform and opening up, ocean economy in China keeps a growth speed higher than that of national economy in the corresponding period. Zhejiang Province is much richer in ocean resources than inland regions. However, due to the short history, ocean economy of Zhejiang Province is still in less developed conditions. Currently, the development gaps of Zhejiang ocean economy are mainly ocean science technology, weak technical support for industrial optimization, underdeveloped comprehensive ocean management, no superiority for traditional ocean industry development across the country, and less development of rising high-tech ocean industry.
