Abstract :
A highly precise automated portable digital transmitter of electrical resistance temperature is provided. Many ways of electrical resistance measurement are discussed. Then a system of highly precise ratiometric resistance measurement based on MSC1210, a 24 bit analog-to-digital converter with enhanced 8051 MCU and high-performance peripherals, is designed. A series of electrical resistance measurement experiments are performed and the results are compared to the results of the standard thermometer - Keithley 2001 multimeter.
