Abstract :
The multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar system is a new kind of radar technology. It can choose flexibly the probing signals transmitted via its antennas or increase the inter-element distance to reduce the cross-correlation of the signals, so that the spatial diversity gain can be obtained. Waveform design is one of the important topics of the MIMO radar. We discuss here the waveform design method for extended radar targets using Kronecker structured matrix estimation. Simulation results are provided to validate the proposed solutions.
