  • Abstract
    This paper proposed, for UWB radio, a novel interference suppression technique, covariance shaping multiuser detection (CSMU). We demonstrate the improvement of multiuser detection for an UWB pulse based direct sequence spread spectrum system using code division multiple access and show that an application of covariance shaping multiuser detection (CSMU) can reject interference in multiuser wireless communication system. Simulation results show that the CSMU has better performance than decorrelator and match-filter receiver in many users UWB systems. However, the CSMU has much greater than linear MMSE receiver in dynamic range and does not require to know channel
