Abstract
In this paper, we give a cross layer solution to overcome the TCP performance degradation, which is caused by high error bit rate and long disconnection in high-speed wireless environment. Link recovery based on subcarrier reallocation and AMC (adaptive modulation and coding) employed in our scheme can improve the success probability of retransmitted link frame, which will lead great improvement of the TCP performance in high BER environment. The Freeze-TCP technique adopted in our scheme is to conquer the influence of long air disconnection. Simulation shows that the link recovery combined with Freeze-TCP based on subcarrier reallocation and AMC leads great wireless TCP performance enhancement in OFDM network
