  • Abstract
The sensitivity matrix in the EIT reconstruction algorithms is ill-conditioned and its inverse very inaccurate. The reconstruction Is position dependent and the reconstruction errors increase as the object is moved closer to the center. In this study, the sensitivity matrix is modified to give a uniform total lead sensitivity values, independently of pixel position, for the 32 electrode adjacent drive/adjacent sense configuration. Reconstructions from simulated data show that the proposed method is far superior to other regularization techniques; with the FWHM value at the center decreased from 33% to 21.5%
