Title :
The future trend of VLSI technology and business
Author_Institution :
NEC Corp., Tokyo, Japan
Abstract :
Multimedia services and enabling technologies to realize these services are reviewed. Following the perspective of the future system-on-a-chip in a multimedia era, issues and approaches for solutions are discussed. In order to satisfy the systems requirements, higher integration, higher performance and lower power consumption should be realized in the shortest possible time frame. System and technology designers must enhance mutual communications to find optimum solutions in such a diversified environment
