Abstract :
Mueller and Muller (1976) proposed a symbol synchronization scheme suitable for binary and multilevel PAM signal. To extract timing error, only one sample per symbol is needed. Willam G. Cowley applied the algorithm to BPSK and QPSK signal and gave the performance analysis. In the present letter, the algorithm is applied to QAM signal and preliminary performance analysis is given
