Abstract :
The international medical tourism industry has developed rapidly in recent years, becoming one of the emerging industries in the world. Especially in Asian countries, business models and strategic alliances have been developing actively. However, besides product innovation and customer satisfaction, human information management and development are the key success factors to a new business. This paper analyzes the current situation of international medical tourism industry, interviews the professionals of the industry, and classifies and analyzes the key human resource development strategies for the medical tourism industry, which include: (1) the government, hospitals and travel insurance industry should construct the value chain of medical tourism industry; (2) make development plans based on job competence, including the required professional knowledge, technologies, attitude and personal traits for the professionals of the medical tourism industry, and analyze, design and assess the personnel training needs, in order to improve the overall service quality; (3) the organization design and development should meet future demand and customer satisfaction; (4) develop specialty skills accreditation and licensing system to cultivate the competitiveness of professionals.
