Editor´s comments: 30 Years and Gone

Thirty years ago, the author became Editor of the AP-S Newsletter. We convinced the IEEE to approve it as a magazine and I became the Editor-in-Chief of the Magazine in 1990. Since then, the tremendous team of Editors and Associate Editors listed on the front pages and their predecessors have built this publication into one of the best magazines in the IEEE. The term of the Editor-in-Chief of the Magazine runs for three years and is renewable without limit. My current term ends December 31, 2014. AP-S President Tapan Sarkar and President Elect Roberto Graglia have informed me that they are not going to reappoint me for another term, although I would be privileged to continue.
