Abstract :
In this paper, system performance of turbo trellis coded modulation (TTCM) is presented and analyzed through computer simulations over two typical channels, AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels. The co-designed TTCM method is introduced and the performance of different mapping strategies based on UP (ungerboeck partitioning), MP (mixed partitioning) and GP (gray partitioning), of the signal constellation of the co-designed TTCM system is given. Our simulation results show that the co-designed TTCM with UP can obtain better performance than TTCM with MP and GP in both AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels.
