Abstract :
Hexagonally shaped 7-element electronically steerable parasitic array radiator (ESPAR) antenna possesses three translational invariance configurations. However, the original reactance-domain (RD) ESPRIT algorithm exploits only one of these configurations. In this paper, an enhanced RD ESPRIT method is proposed to improve the direction of arrival (DOA) estimation by taking advantage of more structural information about the received array data. Simulation results are provided to show that the proposed method performs better than the original RD ESPRIT method
