  • Abstract
    The power loss of fast speed thyristors is relatively high, especially for higher blocking voltage devices. High power asymmetrical thyristors will reduce the power loss up to 40%. In this paper we will discuss the newly developed high power asymmetrical thyristors and their trade-off.
