Abstract
Electromagnetic shielding is mandatory to protect sensitive receivers from high power transmitters on a satellite. This paper presents an effective electromagnetic shielding approach especially using frequency selective surfaces. Several unit cells having different shape and size are exploited for X-band stop band filter. These structures are good candidates for shielding walls and radomes for satellites having intense power of payloads.
