Abstract
A group of telecommunications service providers and suppliers have developed a unique sector specific set of quality management system requirements including a standard set of required measurements. The goal of these requirements is to drive continual improvement within the telecommunications industry, thus reducing costs while improving the overall quality and reliability delivered to the end user. This is done through the use of specific requirements added to those contained in ISO 9001:2000 and an explicit requirement for continual improvement programs utilizing measurement of field performance of the products and services involved
