Abstract :
A 4-bit phase shifter at 24 GHz is designed and implemented using a network of MEMS switches to select over 16 different phases. Four sections of transmission-line pair are tailored to provide phase difference of 22.5°, 45°, 90°, and 180°, respectively. Full-wave electromagnetic simulation has been conducted using ADS and Sonnet. The scattering parameters |S11|, |S22|, |S21| are lower than -10.9, -8.8, -5.5 dB, respectively. The maximum phase error is about 2.2°.
