Abstract
Multiple microprocessors-based commutatorless motor drive system with exellent performance was developed and the four drive systems were manufactured for tandem rolling mills. For high performance control of the commutatorless motor, rapid and accurate control of the flux linkage and of the inverter commutating margin angle is important problem to be solved. Authors developed new control methods of solving these problems based on multiple microprocessors system. On examination, good characteristics were proved statically and dynamically. This paper describes the new control methods, special features of this system and its operating characteristics.
