Abstract :
An ultra-wideband antenna entitled planar monopole notched antenna with U-slot on metallic ground is proposed in this paper, which verifies U-slot on metallic ground is able to enhance band for planar monopole antenna with stepped notches. Given return loss less than -10dB, the proposed antenna is bandwidth up to 10.41GHz, covering IEEE802.16a spectrum range from 2GHz to 11GHz. Pattern of far-fields over the specified band is near omni-direction.
