Abstract :
This paper deals with the comparison of native and in-depth interleavers, which are used in the mobile TV DVB-H standard. In-depth interleaving is an alternative method of symbol interleaving in the DVB-H standard, which can improve robustness of the signal quality in the mobile TV communication channel. The influence of both interleavers on the signal quality was analyzed and simulated in typical mobile fading channels. Application for this simulation was developed in MATLAB. Dependences of BER (before and after Viterbi decoding) and MER on C/N ratio were simulated and compared. Finally, achieved results are evaluated and discussed in the conclusion.
