Wide area information accesses and the information gateways

The various information access methods will be consolidated into a general and global solution in the future. We propose that the solution should be based on the information gateway model, in which a user can access information by navigating through layers of objects starting from the information brokers represented by the gateways, and by specifying various queries at any level of the navigation layer. This gateway model and its system structure represent a “standard” user and system interface for future information accessing and logical data association
