  • Abstract
    In the electric power system, the loss caused by flashover accident is 10 times greater than lightning accident, although the rates of lightning accident catch the first place. In order to prevent flashover effectively, measures must be taken to monitor the contamination of the insulators. The principles of these two equipments are analyzed in this paper. With the practical experiences, the two equipments are compared and the proper condition to which the two equipments suit are pointed out.
