Abstract :
A new photonic signal processor topology, using a dual-cavity structure with optical gain offset, which simultaneously achieves both high-Q and high skirt selectivity filter response is presented. A 7-fold improvement of skirt selectivity in comparison to conventional high-Q structures is demonstrated.
