Abstract :
We are concerned with the study of EEG in response to musical stimuli. Since music cognition has many emotional aspects, it is expected that EEG recorded during music listening may reflect the electrical activities of brain regions related to those emotional aspects. We applied directed coherence analysis on EEG´s recorded during listening to “Duetto” by Mendelssohn. Then the experimental results showed that a subject formally trained in classical music strongly responds to tonal musical forms
