Abstract
A dual band antenna system is designed by embedded the cylindrical dielectric resonator (CDR). The first part display the characteristics of single CDR as return loss, bandwidth and radiation pattern, after, in the second part it observed that embedded the CDR by another cylindrical resonator leads a dual-frequencies behavior and achieves a dual band antenna, The proposed antenna is investigated using Finite Element Method (FEM). The results shows that at least 50 MHz of impedance bandwidth (S11 <; -10dB) at resonate frequency of 1.98 GHz, and the radiations patterns are remaining broadside using a 50 ohms coaxial probe placed in the edge of the host cylindrical; The antenna can covers a part of Ultra High Frequency (UHF).
