Abstract
The efficient use of energy is becoming a social issue due to resource depletion and increase of energy cost. As a result of this change, many kinds of energy management systems like Smart Grid, which are based on ubiquitous networks, are being proposed in the field of building, home and factory automation. Moreover amongst these specific fields, lighting is a common part, from which significant amount of energy could be saved. In order to apply the smart grid system to a platform or a building, DR (Demand Response) module is necessary. However there is no standard defining the basic structure and operating methods of DR module. In this paper, the Demand Response Module (DRM) having DR function is developed. We also propose the structure of DRM and explain about its installation and operating method.
