Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to show the impact of practical design details on noise shaping characteristics and test yields of second-order single-loop Delta-Sigma A/D modulators. Effects of symmetry, of leakages and of crosstalks on quantization noise shaping are analyzed. Techniques used to improve the shaping of quantization noise are discussed. Measurement results from two circuits are presented
