Abstract
The flow properties of the liquid circulatory system with the EHD pumps were experimentally investigated using the isothermal weakly conducting liquid (HFC43-10). The EHD pumping section was composed of a series or parallel connection of the coaxial cone to rod electrode assembly. An ability of EHD pumps was examined from the measurements of pressure head, flow rate, electric power consumption and load characteristics of circulatory system. The time dependence of the generated pressure also was measured under constant applied voltage. It is shown that a means of applying the intermittent voltage is effective to keep a constant level of the pressure head.
