Abstract :
Summary form only given. Wireless body area networks (WBANs) technology is now recognized as a promising candidate for various potential applications in the domains of health, surveillance, monitoring, sport, multimedia, entertainment, etc. As the devices are implanted or embedded in the human body, the design constraints are particularly stringent: low power consumption is required for applications demanding autonomy (e.g., medical surveillance), security and safety are mandatory for vital applications, radiations are subject to regulatory limits for public health and coexistence in addition to other constrains like size, aspect ratio, and weight.
