Abstract :
The paper presents a historical review of the Finite Integration Technique (FIT), a method which has been successfully used for more than 25 years for the solution of electromagnetic field problems. The main milestones in the development of the method, current state-of-the-art, as well as a glimpse in the future developments are presented.
