Abstract
Many users often perform searches in unfamiliar domains and these search experiences are often unsatisfactory since the users are lack of domain-specific knowledge. In this paper, we present a concept based retrieval method to deal with domain-specific searches. Three groups of domain-specific concepts are extracted from the online resource. The following experiments on three domain-specific test collections show that this approach is effective in improving domain-specific search accuracy.
